Purple exhibition coming soon to Fred Aldous, Manchester

POSTED ON: BY Maria Adamo

Purple is a new exhibition bringing over 30 artists together to celebrate the one and only Prince in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, organised by our very own Robert Lomas!

The exhibition will be held in the window of Fred Aldous – the art and crafts shop based on Stevenson Square for 3 weeks from the 5th to the 23rd September.

With a diverse line up of artists and studios involved from all over the world it promises to be an exhibition not to missed!

See the full line up of artists here and catch up with all the news on twitter: @purple_mcr

Purple_Exhibition_image_02aArtworks will be available to buy online once the exhibition starts on the 5th September at www.purplemcr.co.uk for £5 each, with all proceeds going to the local Manchester charity Back On Track who enable disadvantaged adults to make positive changes to their lives.

All artworks are being printed in Purple ink onto lavender GF Smith colorplan paper on the trusty Risograph machine at Fred Aldous.

Design By Day are also entering a piece for the exhibition, crafted by yours truly! No sneaky peeks just yet, you’ll have to wait until the 5th September. But if you love a bit of playful typography like we do in the studio, then you might want to get your hands on our Purple piece.

Interest in the exhibition has recently been growing with features on the MEN and Creative Boom. Keep your eyes peeled for Purple goodness!
