The Challenge

Established in 2000, Watt has been saving money for UK businesses money on their gas and electric for over 16 years. Watt initially came to Design By Day to work on the design and UX (User Experience) of their bespoke in-house CRM system used by an 50+ strong sales team.

Watt’s big plans for the future translated into our second challenge; the design and development of a utility comparison website. The utility comparison market is a highly competitive one, meaning that the site had to stand out from the competition, be easy to use, encourage conversions and generate leads.

The Solution

We created a strong, playful online brand that sets Watt apart from their competitors. The home page features an animated cityscape which users can interactive with whilst not detracting from the core purpose of the site; to gain leads and convert visitors.

Working closely with the marketing team at Watt we carefully constructed various sales funnels and CTAs to encourage users to switch their gas, electricity and water online. The quote forms were designed to be as user-friendly as possible to avoid drop off before conversion.
